As part of our CSR initiative, we have decided to provide support and design expertise towards the betterment of Anganwadi centres in Goa. Goa's 1200 Anganwadi centres cater to approximately 24000 children between the ages of 0-6 years of age. Each child has at least a family of 5 other people, so in all, a well-run Anganwadi centre can positively touch the lives of 120,000 citizens of Goa. In percentage terms, that translates to 9% of Goa's population. It would mean the ability to reduce malnutrition among children in Goa from current levels of 15% to nil. It would mean 1200 spaces to conduct women and children related initiatives in the villages; 1200 opportunities for community involvement. It is a cause we at Morphogenesis feel strongly about, given its potential to impact the quality of a child's life from birth, providing the foundation for a healthier future.
